A series exploring the vernacular of the ubiquitous Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs), Canvasses were made to the proportions of the testing units.
A clever symbol, a crown motif extracted from Nervi’s ceiling design, sits at the centre of the identity, intrinsically linking the architecture of the theatre, its name, and its location on King St. Perfect location and perfect copywriting as well.

Garbett have designed a very clever system for NYE in Sydney. Delightfully, the brand name was contained in the word ‘SYDNEY’ — by swapping the positions of the N and E, they were able to reveal the acronym for New Year’s Eve. Beautifully complemented with an illustration style that feels modern and uniquely Australian, Garbett’s designs have been applied all across the city to ring in the new decade. A wonderful identity, beautifully and cleverly crafted by Paul Belford Ltd. for a Thai restaurant. It’s been years since I did some marbling. Perfectly representing the lovely spices being blended together. The logo, represents a flower, alluding to the fact that ‘Busaba’ can mean ‘flower’ in Thai. The petals of the flower logo are heart-shaped, drawing on two of the important philosophies that inform Busaba’s culture: ‘sookjai’ and ‘namjai’. ‘Sookjai’, meaning ‘happy heart’. Very tasty!
Not sure which agency did these but very clever indeed. Made me smile!
Manual have created the identity for Supersonic aircraft ‘Boom’, the dream job of many a designer! The logo is a beautiful modernist interpretation of wings worn by pilots, a bird in motion, acceleration! A perfect solution, fantastic photography, renderings and typography. Beautifully crafted and lovely yellow detailing derived from the Peregrine Falcon.
Garbett have produced a lovely responsive identity for Goulburn Regional Art Gallery in Australia. The logo is particularly beautiful and works so well at a variety of sizes. The repetition of form in the symbol is meant to reflect the tilled soil, wool and mark-making found in Australian Art.
